Why I Started The Coach Bergen Show
By FightPlan Pro ·
Every fighter has a story. Unfortunately, most people never get to hear it.
Every fighter has a story.
Unfortunately, most people never get to hear it.
Fans usually see the highlight reel.
The knockout.
The championship belt.
The walkout.
The celebration.
What they don't see are the years of sacrifice that made those moments possible.
The injuries.
The setbacks.
The doubts.
The jobs worked between training sessions.
The people who believed in them before anyone else did.
That's the story I wanted to tell.
More Than Just Another MMA Podcast
There are plenty of podcasts that break down fights.
Others focus on rumors or headlines.
Those conversations have their place.
But I wanted to build something different.
A place where fighters, coaches, referees, announcers, promoters, photographers, and everyone else involved in combat sports could share their journey in their own words.
Because every person in this sport has a story worth hearing.
Giving Fighters a Platform
Many athletes spend years chasing their dreams before anyone outside their hometown knows their name.
Sometimes all it takes is one interview for fans to discover who they really are.
The Coach Bergen Show was created to help shine a light on those journeys.
Not just after someone becomes famous.
But while they're still climbing.
Whether someone is making their professional debut or competing on one of the biggest stages in combat sports, every story deserves to be told.
More Than Wins and Losses
Records don't tell the whole story.
Neither do rankings.
Behind every fighter is someone who has overcome obstacles that most people never see.
Mental battles.
Financial struggles.
Family sacrifices.
Career setbacks.
Life lessons.
Those conversations often become more meaningful than discussing the fight itself.
Learning From the Best
One of the greatest parts of hosting the show has been learning from people throughout the combat sports world.
Every guest brings a different perspective.
Some discuss training.
Others talk about business.
Some share career advice.
Others reflect on lessons they've learned inside and outside the cage.
No two conversations are the same.
That's what makes them valuable.
Building the Combat Sports Community
The goal has never been to create interviews for the sake of creating content.
The goal is to strengthen the combat sports community.
Helping fans discover rising athletes.
Giving fighters another way to build their personal brand.
Highlighting the people working behind the scenes.
Creating relationships that help grow the sport.
Every episode is another opportunity to connect people through a shared passion for combat sports.
A Natural Extension of Fight Plan Pro
The Coach Bergen Show and Fight Plan Pro share the same mission.
Help fighters succeed.
Fight Plan Pro gives athletes tools to prepare, stay accountable, and organize their careers.
The Coach Bergen Show gives those same athletes a platform to tell their story.
One helps build better fighters.
The other helps people get to know the person behind the gloves.
Together, they represent two sides of the same mission.
Looking Ahead
As the show continues to grow, so will the variety of guests.
Expect conversations with:
- Fighters
- Coaches
- Matchmakers
- Promoters
- Referees
- Ring announcers
- Broadcasters
- Photographers
- Strength and conditioning coaches
- Nutrition experts
- And many of the people working behind the scenes who help make combat sports possible.
Every guest has something valuable to teach.
Every episode is another opportunity to learn.

This podcast exists because of you.
We're not just documenting fights.
